Dermaplaning is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment that removes the outer most layer of dead skin cells and also temporarily removes facial hair (peach -fuzz) using a special aesthetic blade.
This treatment leaves your skin smooth and supple.
Dermaplaning is an alternative to microdermabrasion and ideal for those with uneven skin, dehydrated flaky skin, acne scarring, reduces the appearance of enlarged pores and fine lines; it is also used as a quick skin rejuvenation treatment to bring back a healthy glow to the skin. Also, for women who have unwanted facial hair (peach- fuzz on their face), blading can be a pain-free alternative to tweezing and waxing.
Because the procedure is a healthy treatment for the skin on your face, almost all people can benefit from the skin rejuvenation that dermaplaning promotes, no matter what skin color, male or female.
What should you expect during and after treatment?
Dermaplaning is a virtually painless procedure. You may feel a mild scratching during the treatment. Aftercare is easy, requiring only gentle cleansing and a good moisturizer with sunscreen.
We recommend scheduling a Dermaplaning treatment every 3-4 weeks for maintenance as it coincides with a normal skin cycle of approximately 30 days
For a more aggressive treatment for sun damage skin you can add a Lumifacial Skin Rejuvenation Treatment or an acid peel.
