The Benefits of Facial Chemical Peels
Many factors contribute to the health and appearance of your skin. Diet, genetics, age, the environment, and your daily skin care routine determine how well your skin looks. Facial chemical peels are a great way to rejuvenate your skin and give it a boost. People with both normal and problem skin can benefit from regular facial peels.
What Is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is an acid-based solution that is applied to the skin to remove the damaged upper layer of skin. Chemical peels help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, acne scarring, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, freckles, and rough patches. Chemical peels are generally used on the face, although they can be used on other areas of the body, such as your hands and neck.
One of the most common types of chemical peels is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) peel. The active agent in an AHA peel is glycolic acid, which is a naturally occurring enzyme found in milk, sugar cane, and tomato juice.
Procedure for Facial Chemical Peels
Your Aesthetician will determine the correct formulation of the chemical peel most suitable to your needs. She will cleanse your skin with a gentle facial wash and then apply the chemical peel solution to your skin. The peel is left to work on your skin for the prescribed amount of time, generally anywhere from 10-30 minutes. You may feel some warmth and tingling from the solution as it works its way into your skin, but it is a generally painless procedure. After the appropriate amount of time, your practitioner will rinse the solution off your face and apply a light lotion to sooth your skin and promote healing. You may experience slight reddening and sensitivity over the next day or two, so treat your skin gently. Always apply a moisturizer after cleansing, and avoid direct sunlight.
Several treatments are generally recommended for optimal results, spaced at least a week or two apart

Benefits of Monthly Facials
Whether you're battling oily skin, can't keep breakouts under control, or just want to maintain that healthy, youthful look, a professional facial at the day spa could be all you need to achieve your skin goals. You don't have to get a spa facial just before a special event. Think of these facials like a massage for your skin. The deep-cleansing, exfoliating, and pampering session will stimulate circulation and can boost production of collagen--the compound you need for soft, healthy, and plump-looking skin. Getting these professional skin treatments just once a month can improve your skin in more ways than one.
Here are just a few benefits of getting monthly facials at the day spa.
Extractions and Deep Pore Cleansing
Even though you can deep-clean your pores at home with a good facial buffing tool such as the Clarisonic Pro, $169.99, amazon.com, it can be hard to do your own extractions and get rid of blackheads. Spa facials include a deep cleansing and steaming session to dilate your pores and purge out toxins. The aesthetician then can go in and extract those blackheads and even some whiteheads to give you a clearer complexion. This step is followed by toner and then moisturizer.
Rehydrates the Skin
If your skin always seems dehydrated, a good steaming and masking session at the spa can rehydrate the skin in a flash. Many aestheticians use some type of hydrating mask as part of the facial treatment, and these can be very effective for restoring lost moisture and plumping up the skin. You'll notice a difference immediately, and this alone can be a great refresher after a stressful week
Stimulates Collagen Production
Most day spa facials include a gentle facial massage, in which the aesthetician can massage out tension around the jaw line and forehead as well as stimulate circulation. The combination of pressure to the skin and products used during the facial treatment can help boost collagen production. This means your skin will grow back healthier and more toned.
Finally, recognize that a monthly facial is an investment in your own well-being. Try not to squeeze it in between appointments, find a way to make sure that you can do something fun and relaxing afterwards. If your facial is the only ‘me-time’ you’ve got, make it count.

Want longer, thicker and fuller eyelashes?
The solution..... LAVISH LASHES!!
What Are Lavish Lashes?
Lavish Lashes is a revolutionary new product that lengthens and thickens eyelashes. Lavish Lashes semi-permanent eyelash extensions are individual synthetic lashes that are designed to replicate a natural eyelash. Each polished eyelash extension is curved with a thicker base that gradually narrows to a point. They are applied to individual eyelashes, one eyelash extension at a time, to extend and thicken your client's eyelashes. The result is a set of long, luscious yet natural appearing eyelashes. Lavish Lashes eyelash extensions are perfect for special occasions as well as everyday wear. What do they look like and how do they feel?
With proper application, Lavish Lashes look and feel completely real. How long do Lavish Lashes last?
When applied properly, semi-permanent Lavish Lashes can last up to a month, depending on the natural growth cycle of your natural eyelashes. Most clients will want touch-ups every two to three weeks. Lavish Lashes High Performance Bonding Agent is specially formulated with a unique waterproof bonding agent to last longer than most other adhesives. You will find that the right bonding agent is of critical importance. Lavish Lashes High Performance Bonding Agent has just the right blend of properties, including safety, bond strength, drying speed, lack of odor and maximum shelf life. Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing Lavish Lashes?
Yes. Our specially formulated bonding agent allows you to shower, swim, exercise, sleep and spa worry-free while wearing Lavish Lashes. You can enjoy these lashes with little need to adjust your lifestyle. Please do not swim or spa for 48 hours after the procedure to allow the bonding agent to fully cure. How are the Lavish Lashes applied?
Lavish Lashes are applied one lash at a time to your individual natural eyelashes to achieve long, thick and natural looking eyelashes. The procedure involves bonding the synthetic extension to your own natural eyelashes. How often should I get touch-ups?
We recommend getting a touch up every two to three weeks. A natural eyelash falls off every 60 to 90 days on average due to the natural growth cycle and is naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. At any given moment, each of your natural eyelashes is at a different stage of its life cycle. A touch up is needed to replenish the lashes that have completed their life cycle. Can I apply mascara to Lavish Lashes?
Indeed, one of the main advantages of Lavish Lashes is never needing mascara again. However, if you must have the mascara look, only water based mascara can be used. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil based mascara will dissolve the bonding agent and cause the Lavish Lashes to fall off.How do I take care of Lavish Lashes?
Your new Lavish Lashes are long, thick and beautiful! Once applied, they last up to one month. Best of all, they are easy to maintain. To maintain this look and extend the life of your lashes, follow these easy care instructions: Do not wash eyes or shower for 24 hours after lash application. Do not swim or spa for 48 hours after lash application to allow adequate time for bonding. Be gentle with your lashes. Avoid rubbing your eyes. Avoid oil-based and waterproof mascara. Water based mascara and water based mascara remover may be used. Use mascara sparingly and gently remove mascara with water-based eye makeup remover. Apply mascara on the tips only.
Who uses Eyelash Extensions?
Hollywood has long since enjoyed extending their beauty with Eyelash Extensions. Models and actors have been using eyelash extensions for yearsCall us at 615-794-5282 for more questions or to book your Lavish lash appointment!
